She was born April 12, 1958 in Catawba County to the late Charles Edward Lowdermilk and Mildred Frances Teague Lowdermilk. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Keelan Michael Hux. Kelly is survived by her daughters, Keisha Danielle Short of Hickory and Korey Michelle Short of Conover; grandchildren, Ava Jade Hux and Kylie Sue Short; sisters, Judy Bentley and husband Robert, Jean Hart, and Melinda Sheets, all of Jacksonville, FL; and nephew, Charles Michael Lowdermilk of Atlanta, GA. A Service of Remembrance will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, March 4, 2010 in the Chapel of Drum Funeral Home in Conover with Rev. Gary Patterson officiating. Burial will follow in Conover City Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Assoc., 222 S.
